We got a new entertainment center for the playroom.  While Dad and Mom were putting it together, Lauren was helping entertain the boys.  Here she is holding some styrofoam for Ian so he could practice his karate moves!

We've been out riding our bikes and scooters in this wonderful weather.  It's supposed to be in the high 60's tomorrow so I'm sure we will be outside again!

Today was Logan's turn to have a special day with Mom.  Every other Wednesday we have our neighbor come by to spend a couple of hours with two boys while I take one boy to do something he wants to do.  We started this back in October and the boys love having their special day.  At the mall today we found a new kiosk that had cake balls.  Logan had the vanilla on vanilla...I had the chocolate on vanilla...diet?  what diet?

We woke up to snow this morning.  I didn't even know it was supposed to snow until Wednesday morning...and that was so iffy that I didn't even think about it.  It snowed for about 4 hours and we got about 2 inches.  The snow was those large fluffy snowflakes....ahhh it makes me think of Michigan winters.
A couple of school districts closed north of us..which made me chuckle.

While Lauren should be studying for her mid terms, I find her playing with Mageera. Poor Mageera is getting old (he's 19 yrs old) but he still likes to play.

Yup..another blurry one.  We hung out with Ava, Aunt T, Uncle Justin and Nana today.  We ate lunch and played video games and rode some rides at Gattitown (also known as Dadditown).

We found a new park in the area today.  Mike has noticed it awhile back and we finally had some good weather to go check it out.  The boys really, really loved it..it was hard to get them back in the car after an hour.  We will definitely be going back to this park..although it's on the other side of town.

Yup, that's Lauren in the grey jersey.  Back from winter break and back to basketball.  This was the first loss of the season but we only lost by one point (20-19); a loss nonetheless.  Lauren got to play a lot of the game tonight which made her quite happy.

although this picture was taken yesterday (last night) I'm a day late posting.  After finishing up my day with the boys and having two loads of laundry to fold, I laid on the couch and fell asleep.  Getting back on schedule after a two week break is torture!

Yeah - I'm not editing the photo of the day; it's been such a long day.  Even though Lauren went back to school today we had to take her out early to go to the dr again.  Apparently the urgent care dr was wrong; it's not the flu but strep.  I can't blame the urgent care dr tho, the strep test came back negative, but it was sure positive today.  Sure could have saved that $75 for that tamiflu prescription that is now worthless.  But the main thing is that she is feeling a lot better!

Travis was all about posing today - although he wanted to have his tongue out.  He would jump up to see the picture before I was able to take it.  I like this look much better!

Ms. L was sick today and had to go to the Urgent Care facility.  Both strep and flu tests came back negative, but no other explanation other the flu.  Off to the pharmacy we went with a script for Tamiflu and luckily for her it tastes oh so good (you hear that sarcasm?).

The boys were working on their letters today using paint and a q-tip.  Ian's letters look awesome don't they?  It's because his mother knows her letters!

I originally was taking a picture of Mike playing with the boys at the kitchen table while I was busy with dinner....and then I looked again after I took the picture...at least I got everyone (but me) in the picture!

Here in the South it's the norm to have black eyed peas for New Years Day, it is said to bring you luck for the new year.   Why not?  Over the years I've learned to cook these things up and pair them up with some cornbread.  I recently ran across a recipe for dip utilizing black eyed peas...perhaps next year!
